Butte School District
THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
6401
General Responsibilities of Administration
Each administrator is vested with commensurate authority to operate the administrative element within the limits of District policies and procedures. These include leadership; administration and management; financial management; and professional development. Administrators may delegate duties and responsibilities. Delegation of power or duty, however, will not relieve the administrator of responsibility for action delegated.
In addition to managing the administrative elements, each administrator serves as adviser and assistant to the immediate supervisor. Dependent upon the degree of authority which has been delegated, the administrator will obtain the supervisor’s approval prior to taking action in matters of District-wide significance or will advise supervisors of action taken.
In performance of assigned duties, the administrator will establish and maintain such outside associations as may be beneficial to the District.
