Organization Changes

Originator(s)

  1. Prepare a rough draft of proposed change(s) in organization structure.
  2. If establishment of new salary positions or review of existing salary positions is proposed, complete a job description for each position.
  3. Obtain approval of the responsible supervisor on all documents and forward the documents to the Superintendent, allowing sufficient time whenever possible (at least forty-five (45) working days) for coordinating proposed change(s), obtaining final approval, and processing.
  4. After notification of final approval by the Superintendent, announce organization change(s), including personnel changes.

Superintendent

  1. Review proposed changes and coordinate with originator(s) as required.
  2. Determine effect of changes on policies, procedures, systems, and functional responsibilities and the necessary development or revision of organization charts.
  3. Coordinate with the Clerk for tentative addition or deletion of cost center numbers and compatibility with accounting, personnel, and budget requirements, as necessary.
  4. Determine job title and salary grades, prepare required job descriptions, and obtain approval of the Board.
  5. Prepare new or revised organization charts.
  6. Notify originator(s) and Clerk of approved changes and effective dates.
  7. Distribute copies of charts and maintain file of extra copies and history file on all organization charts.

District Clerk

  1. Assign cost control numbers and notify originator(s) and ensure computer input of cost control changes to mechanized systems.
