School Bus Operation – Inclement Weather

The director of facilities, maintenance, and transportation should obtain information from the weather bureau and the road condition report from the highway patrol and/or other sources by 5:45 a.m., to determine if buses should operate. The director of facilities, maintenance, and transportation will advise the Superintendent or designee to cancel bus routes due to weather conditions.

The Superintendent or designee will contact news media to announce the cancellation of school bus routes by 6:00 a.m.

Drivers and bus aides affected by the cancellation of a route will be notified by the director of facilities, maintenance, and transportation by 6:30 a.m.
