Accelerated Reader:

Accelerated reader has started for grades 2nd – 6th!  Each student is assigned a point goal and a reading level.  Point goals are given based on students reading level.  It is the students’ responsibility to read and take AR tests on the books that they have read.  Each test they take gets them closer to their goal!  Accelerated Reader assigns each book a reading level and point amount.  Students may read books from the school library, public library and books from home.  To see if a book has an AR test, please check www.arbookfind.com .  Please track your child’s AR progress by using AR HomeConnect. This resource allows you to monitor if your child’s taking quizzes and how they are scoring.  A HomeConnect information letter has already been sent home.  If you need an additional letter please contact Mrs. Merrifield. Each 6 weeks our top 15 point earners will win a fun activity.  Classroom competition will also be happening each 6 weeks.  Points will be tallied for a great prize at the end of the year.
