Message from the principal

Welcome to the Hillcrest Elementary website! My name is Susan Johnson, your principal. I am so proud of our school. We have an outstanding experienced staff, amazing students and highly engaged parents.

Our universal expectations are:  Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Ready. Hillcrest Elementary School expectations are taught to our students and reinforced with positive supports with a variety of programs. One of our favorite programs is the PAX Behavior Game which is implemented throughout our school. This program promotes appropriate behavior through the use of a Behavior Game with a prize at the end. Prizes range from a chance to act like your favorite animal to a short dance party. We also send “Tootles” home to celebrate the accomplishments of your students. Additionally, we have incentives for students who have great or improved attendance, grades and behavior. 

A few of our favorite events at Hillcrest Elementary are our Halloween Parade, Winter Music Program, AR School Store Days, 5th/6th grade Ski Day, 4th grade Cross-Country Ski Day, Hall of Fame Competition and Fun Day.  

Please review our website newsletter to keep current on upcoming events and activities. Also, make sure you have activated your Infinite Campus parent portal account and app. This will allow you to access your child’s grades, attendance and hot lunch account.
