Kindergarten roundup (incoming class of 23/24) will take place on May 18th at Emerson. Letters have gone home to parents to sign up for an appointment. Very important—No school on May 18th for current K-2nd graders. K-2nd grade teachers will be helping with testing incoming students on that day.

Reminder: There is NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAYS IN MAY. These are non-scheduled days. This is the first year our district calendar has been this way. Thank you!

Congratulations to Mrs. Miner on her upcoming retirement! We will miss her terribly, but we are so happy for her. She is a forever Yellowjacket, and we thank her for her 9 years of service to our school. We sincerely hope she enjoys lots of traveling and relaxation.

Emerson Family,

You have all been an important part of my journey as an educator and with a heavy heart I am        retiring from the Butte School District #1 in June. I am so lucky to have been in the position to watch kids grow up academically, socially, and physically. Their laughter and smiles have a permanent place in my heart. Therefore, I will still be watching for their successes, but at a distance. We do not know who will be your next principal. However, I am certain he/she will feel welcome right away.I feel like Winnie the Pooh  and say, “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard,” A.A. Milne.

Sincerely,

Mrs Brenda Miner
