Online Registration

The Butte School district will once again be utilizing Online Registration.  Registration for the 2023-2024 school year opens on Feb. 13 at 8:00 am. You must have a Parent Portal account to register. If you do not, or can’t remember your user name or password, please email olrhelp@bsd1.org. Classes fill up quickly. If they are full, we do have to force transfer students to other elementary schools. If you have a new kindergartner to register, you can do that on the same application after you register your current student. All students must bring a utility bill as proof of residence. This will complete the registration. New students must have: utility bill, birth certificate, and current immunizations.

 Valentine’s Day Info

Valentine’s Day is an early dismissal day. Students can bring Valentines and treats for class parties. Please make sure treats are store bought. Thank you!

IMPORTANT: NO HATS/HOODS IN SCHOOL

Some of our older students continue to wear hats or have their hoods on while in school. This is not allowed at East, and it won’t be allowed here. From now on, hats will be taken away by teachers. Parents will have to come pick the hats up after school. Students who continue to not listen may also lose field trip privileges.

Tuesday 2/7—100th Day!

Dress up like you are 100 years old.

Friday 2/10  - NFL Day!                                                                      Wear your favorite team apparel.

Tuesday 2/14—Valentine’s  Day! Wear Red/Pink!               

Kindness Challenge Week:

Tuesday 2/21— Helping Others!

Wear camouflage or a Superhero cape.

Wednesday 2/22 - Don’t Judge others by how they look—Wear some funky glasses!

Thursday 2/23– Stand up for Each other! Wear your Emerson attire for school spirit.

Friday 2/24– Practice Positivity! Wear pink/purple!

B.UG. Awards

B.U.G. (Bringing Up Grades) Awards are sponsored by our local Butte Sunrise Kiwanas. The awards are given to 3rd-6th graders who bring up a grade over the first three terms without dropping a grade in any other subjects. It’s a great program, and we appreciate all they do for the school! B.U.G. winners will get some donut holes as a reward!

SPELLING BEE

We will have our school spelling bee on Feb. 16 at 2:30. Winner will move on to the city spelling be on Feb. 22.
