Science

Science Curriculum The Butte School District Science Curriculum was developed to allow all students to achieve scientific literacy. Students who are scientifically literate understand core science concepts of life, earth and physical science, use scientific reasoning, and recognize the interactions among science and technology and society. The science curriculum supports an inquiry-based approach to science education, which includes hands-on laboratory experiences for all students. The Butte School District recognizes the importance to engage students in science investigations that foster the students’ natural curiosity and provide opportunities to communicate and evaluate information. Partnerships between the District, community organizations, and institutions of higher education contribute significantly to sustaining a quality science education.
