Hello Whittier Families:

My name is Kerry Weigle, I am the new school counselor at Whittier Elementary. I attained my Bachelors of Science in Health and Human Development, Family Science and my Masters of Education, School Counseling both from the University of Montana, Bozeman. I am very excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your child(ren) to help support them in their academics. I believe that education is a fundamental element of intellectual and personal/social development which influences the greater system at large. The central focus within the school system are the students; to ensure that they reach their maximum potential and are valued as productive members in society. The product is a student who is intellectually accomplished, confident, self disciplined, lives ethically, and is driven to learn.

There are many services that I will be participating in to help ensure that our students at Kennedy will be successful. These services include individual and group counseling, classroom guidance lessons, classroom meetings, Bullying Prevention Program, and team building activities. These will help create a positive and safe learning environment for the students.

I am so excited to be a Whittier Wildcat, our year is going to be EPIC!

Sincerely,

Kerry Weigle
Whittier School Counselor
