Superintendent's Office

It is with great pride that I welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year. This is truly an honor and a privilege for me to open this new school year as your Superintendent.   On behalf of the Butte School District Board of Trustees, administration, teachers, staff, students and families I want to welcome you to our educational community!  

Butte School District has a rich academic tradition that serves as a symbol of unchanged purpose, a dedication to excellence, and is a tribute to the spirit of our Butte Community. The Core Purpose of the Butte School District is to provide students with the essential skills and knowledge to be successful in life. We do this by:

• Providing a positive, supportive and safe environment;
• Teaching fundamental subjects while also equipping students with problem solving skills to solve real social issues in a multi-cultural environment;
• Encouraging lifelong learning;
• Effectively incorporating technology into all aspects of our curriculum; and

Emphasizing the importance of responsibility, integrity, citizenship, and participation in our democratic process.

Through a belief in high expectations in a culture of respect, our team of highly qualified teachers, administrators, support staff  continually look for ways to improve our programs and services, the process, how we do things, and the quality of the product in our work in education.   Everything we do is directly tied to enhancing student achievement and success. We value providing a safe environment where the focus is on learning and succeeding and taking collective and individual pride and ownership in our accomplishments and responsibility for our challenges.
