KinderPREP Academy
KinderPrep Academy is a year-round school-based Pre-K program to support and develop early literacy skills for children at school.
Eligibility
- Must be 4 years of age or older by September 10, 2026.
- Score below proficiency in at least one area of the PELI screening.
- Child is not yet entering Kindergarten and has not completed Kindergarten.
The KinderPREP program follows the Butte School District calendar.

- KinderPREP first day: TBD
- Time: 8:18-1:15 (Times are subject to change depending on the finalized 26-27 calendar.)
- Transportation is not provided.
- Screening will be March 2-20, 2026. Parents of qualifying students will be provided with registration details at screening.

Summer Jumpstart Program
A fun and engaging summer program designed to enhance learning skills of children who will be 5 years old by September 10, 2026.
Eligibility:
- 5 years old by September 10, 2026.
- Score below proficiency in at least one area of the PELI screening. Testing will be March 2-20, 2026. Parents of qualifying students will be provided with registration details at screening.
- Entering Kindergarten and has completed online registration for the 26-27 school year.
- Dates: June 15 - August 4, 2026
- Time: 8:00 - 12:00
- Free breakfast and lunch are provided.
- Transportation is not provided.
