Work Plan for Week of March 23-March 27 of School Closure

Governor Bullock has directed Montana’s Public K-12 schools to close from March 16 through March 27, 2020. The Governor has promised the District funding for the period through March 27, 2020, but not beyond that date. The District is on Spring Break until March 23, but will then need your services during the Governor’s imposed school closure. You will be expected to create learning packets, and facilitate the implementation of a remote learning program for your students. Accordingly, the District expects each of you to report to your assigned schools at the usual time on March 23, 2020.

You should not report to work if you are:

  1. Experiencing cough, fever or shortness of breath;
  2. Immunocompromised or have multiple medical problems;
  3. Quarantined because of exposure to an individual who has tested positive for COVID-19;
  4. Quarantined because of recent travel.

If you are able to report to your assigned building on Monday, March 23 and Tuesday, March 24, please do so and you will be expected to work with your principal to create learning packets for distribution to your students.

You will then have the choice to work in your school or work from home for Wednesday, March 25 through Friday, March 27.

If you are unable to report to work or are unable continue to work during the week of March 23, 2020, make sure you enter your absence into Aesop, selecting the COVID-19 drop down as the reason for absence. Employees will not be charged accrued leave during the school closure.

The District will provide information regarding your respective work schedules and work assignments from March 30 and thereafter when the District has clear direction from OPI and/or the Governor’s office.

We appreciate your help in continuing to educate our students during this difficult time.
