School Election May 7
East Middle School’s Family & Consumer Science room is the same it was when the school opened in 1957. It is severely undersized and is lacking adequate modern electrical infrastructure, appliances, ventilation and fire suppression. The copper colored drawers and green countertops are original to the building!
The reception and entry at East Middle School lacks visibility to corridors, building entries and to the exterior of the building. Increasing visibility to these areas and reinforcing the vestibule, creating a secure visitor check-in and adding cameras and lockable safe areas are all crucial steps in making the school safe and secure.
