Did you know East Middle School’s locker and shower rooms are the same as when the school opened in 1957, including open ‘communal’ showers?

Upgrades to EMS as part of the Butte Elementary School District Bond include renovations to all restrooms that will make them fully ADA accessible and introduce much needed ventilation. The restrooms are the same as when the school opened in 1957, except for the replacement of plumbing fixtures.
