NOTICE OF TRUSTEE VACANCY
BUTTE SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1
The Board of Trustees of Butte School District No. 1 announces a vacancy on the Board of Trustees.
In accordance with Board Policy 1113P – Vacancies, the Board is seeking qualified residents of the District who are interested in serving as a trustee until the next regular school election or as otherwise provided by law. Interested citizens, as well as citizens wishing to nominate another qualified resident, are encouraged to participate in the application process. Nominees must be residents of the District. A letter of application is required from each interested candidate.
Letters of application should include:
· Name, address, and contact information
· Background and community involvement
· Reasons for seeking appointment to the Board of Trustees
· Qualifications and experience that would contribute to the educational programs and operations of the District
Applications must be received no later than 12:00 pm on July 16th and should be submitted to:

Following the application deadline, finalists will be interviewed by the Board of Trustees at the regular board meeting on July 20th. The Board will appoint the candidate it determines is most likely to contribute to the growth and development of the District's educational programs and operations.
