School Election May 7
Dear Parents and families,
Once again it is my privilege to welcome you to a new school year which holds the promise of yet another extraordinary year of opportunities and possibilities for all our students. We are off to a great start this year as I am excited to see the number of students who participated in our K-12 academic and enrichment summer programs. We also completed many infrastructure projects this summer including upgrading our safety and security systems at our high school and installing heating systems in several of our elementary buildings. We really have much to be proud of in terms of infrastructure improvements and the whole community, led by our school board members, teachers, and staff can be thanked for putting Butte kids first.
I look forward to collaborating with families and staff as we focus on our continuous improvement process in identifying ways to improve our programs and services. Through a culture of respect and collaboration we will work together to develop a process that acknowledges the ever-changing needs of our students while maintaining our rich academic tradition of excellence.
Last year I asked you to join with our staff in promoting student attendance and this remains a key component of our strategic approach to student growth. It is critical that your child attends school regularly, and I continue to stress that there is no better educational placement for your child. Parents and families are critical to the success of our attendance intervention, and we hope that you will support our efforts in promoting regular school attendance.
This is an exciting time in education where there are endless possibilities for our students. Let’s work together to ensure all our students are successful!
