School Election May 7
Dear Families,
Congratulations to all our students and families for successfully completing the 2020-2021 school year!!! Our goal this year was to open our school doors and remain open emphasizing the same quality, student centered, progressive education that has always been the mission of the Butte School District. And, of course this never would have happened without you!!
You unselfishly continued to support teachers and staff adjusting to changes in scheduling, curriculum and instruction, social distancing, and mask mandates. It is huge that parents and families willingly sacrificed to ensure that we could continue our sports and activity schedules while still adhering to local health regulations. Those sacrifices did not go unnoticed or unappreciated by district staff, and for that matter, the whole community.
Our goal will be to begin the 2021-2022 school year in Phase 3 of our Butte School District Reopening Plan which includes; in person instruction for all students five days a week, regular daily schedules, lunch room schedules and transportation schedules resume to full capacity, and extra-curricular activities operate at full capacity. We will continue to keep you updated on information throughout the summer.
Health officials continue to emphasize the importance of getting vaccinated and I urge you and your family to consider getting vaccinated for the health and welfare of not just your loved ones but our entire Butte Community. Information regarding upcoming clinics will be posted on our website throughout the summer.
In closing, I cannot adequately express my gratitude to all our parents, families and the entire Butte community for their overwhelming support of our school district and our students. How very fortunate I feel to be part of such a wonderful school district and community.
